(Gadget Review) Olympus EPL7.

by - Monday, March 30, 2015

I was lucky enough to have a friend of mine, Jackie Loi to lend me his Olympus EPL7 for allowing me to play with his Olympus EPL7 for two weeks.

Let me share with you some of the incredible features of EPL7:
  • Fast AF for up to 8fps (Faster AF, lesser chances of getting blur pictures)
  • 16MP Live MOS CMOS sensor
  • TruePic VII image processor
  • In-body 3-axis image stabilizer (You may now say Goodbye to blur pictures!)
  • Built-in Wifi function (You don't have to rely on Wifi SD memory card anymore!)
  • 180 degree flip screen (more selfies maybe?)
  • and more
(More at http://www.getolympus.com/us/en/e-pl7.html)

I enjoy taking pictures of random stuffs.

Wherever I go, I must bring it along with me.
What make up good memories are beautiful pictures.

COMMENTS

GOOD:
  • Fast Focus made my life easier as I don't have to capture so many shots just to get my desire shot
  • The pictures are with brighter colours (I dislike pictures with warm colour)
  • Great in low lighting shooting condition
  • User Interface ("UI") is simpler and more user friendly
  • 3-axis image stabilizer is in the body itself so I don't have to rely on the stabilizers of the camera lens
  • Vintage design
BAD:
  • A little too heavy for petite girls to carry around (Thank goodness I am not a petite!)
  • The flip screen is below the camera when u flip it around even though it is 180 degree
  • The pictures using Automatic mode appeared to be warmer. Example is as below:
