Valentine's Menu Review @ Putrajaya Shangri-La.

 Valentine's day began as a celebration by Valentinus who is one of the Christian saints. 
He was imprisoned for organising weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians.

The celebration was set on the 14th of February.
Since then, 14th of February had been known as the Valentine's day.
 

During Valentine's day, couples usually do thing they don't usually do.
For example, boyfriend giving roses to girlfriend and having fancy dinner together.
(Of course it refers to average people like me. =D)

There are too many choices in the market nowadays but which is the really good one?

I am recommending this.

Valentine's Set Dinner at Azur, Putrajaya Shangri-la.

 Look at the decorations and ambiance.
 Isn't it romantic and relaxing?

I am fell in love, once again.



 An usual complementary soft buns/hard buns with butter.

 Something to ease our hungriness before the appetizer.

 Appetizer - Grilled Sea Scallop with Green Pea Mousse and Crispy Carrot.

Fresh scallops but I love the 2nd piece which is with the fish roe.
It has the full blow of the flavour of the sea.
The sour cream of 1st and 3rd piece provides the refreshing yet appetizing sensation.


 Soup & Pasta - Clear Venison Soup with Pearl Vegetables accompanied with Angel Hair Pasta served with Duck Ragout & Truffle Sauce.

My advice > Have the pasta before anything else because the carbonara sauce will get too dry after that. As for taste wise, it is yummy.

My 1st time trying out the venison soup and I didn't know it is venison soup until my boyfriend told me so. I was kept enjoying it because it is just too yummy with no Venison's smell.

Duck ragout is unexpectedly tender and juicy. 
I thought it would be too salty but no, it is just nice.

 I was properly dressed up for a dinner like this. =D

 Palate Cleanser - Lime Sherbet with Sweet Strawberry.

It gets us ready for the fullest taste of the main course.

Main Course (choice of)
Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Green Apple and Pecorino Cheese, served with Potatoes, Spinach and Baby Carrots.

OR

Pan Fried Salmon Fillet with Deep Fried Oysters served with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Rocket Pesto Sauce.

 Obviously this is the beef tenderloin.

The taste is just nice, not too salty but do remember to inform the waiter on the temperature.
Pecorino cheese is just for the texture when you enjoy it together with the beef and it is not too cheesy like any other types of cheese.
The green apple slice is to neutralise every single bite and to immerse with a little sweetness.

 Salmon Fillet is highly recommended because of the fragrant seasoning and fresh salmon fillet.
It is even better if it is paired with the rocket pesto sauce because it provides a little creamy taste to further smoothen the fillet.

 Dessert - Diplomatic Heart with Tiramisu with Chestnut Mousse Filling.

It is a decent dessert after main course.

Partner of the day a.k.a. Boyfriend.

 MHB girls with the chef.

 Nope, wine is not included because of the price.

But, you may opt to choose from options of soft drinks, juices, coffee & tea.
